Clients Say it Best:

In my 15 years in Organization Development and Training, I have worked with many instructional designers. The materials created by Rosanne Bane stand out as some of the most well designed, well written and easy to use. Rosanne incorporates her knowledge and experience of adult learning theory and accelerated learning techniques to create a participant experience that results in increased participant knowledge and transference of skills to the job. I have also found that the learning experience she creates is fun and interesting for both the participants and the facilitator using her materials.

Rosanne's dedication and hard work, both as an instructional designer and facilitator, certainly contributed to the success of several ECCO projects. As an instructional designer, Rosanne is innovative in her content development and design techniques. She goes well beyond expectations and delivers highly experiential and creative products. Rosanne is a highly qualified and skilled individual who is committed to making a difference within the HRD/T&D field.

Applying Innovation to Organizational Training Needs

I develop and lead customized training programs that motivate, educate and develop employees. These innovative programs for technical training and “soft skills” development appeal to a variety of learning styles. They engage your adult learners in ways that lecture alone never will. Training is more effective and results in long-lasting performance improvement.

Training is designed for your organization, based on research about your organization as well as the topic. In addition to 15 years of teaching experience, I draw on principles of:

  • Adult learning theories
  • Learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc.)
  • Accelerated Learning
  • Action Learning

How the Instructional Design Process Works for Your Organization

I meet with you to discuss and determine your training needs and the learning objectives. I interview your organization’s SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and if necessary, conduct independent research on the topic. Then I prepare a design plan that includes a minimum of lecture interspersed with other selected, appropriate learning tools such as:

  • Large group activities (Action Mapping, Discovery Mapping, Process Mapping, Force Field Analysis, discussion, brainstorming, etc.)
  • Small group activities (Speak-and-Listen, Investigate and Report, 2-4-8 Preference Selection, etc.)
  • Individual activities (Hands-on experience, Lab practice and review, Action Plans, etc.)
  • Environment enhancement and training theme
  • Discovery, practice and review games
  • Peer coaching
  • In-class applications of concepts to current work projects

Because this design integrates learning modalities that appeal to a variety of learning styles, it engages adult learners in a way that lecture alone never will. Training is more effective and learning more long-lasting.

After you review and approve the design, I provide a complete learning package written specifically for your organization. Deliverables typically include:

  • Facilitator Guide
  • Facilitator Check List
  • List of Facilitator Materials
  • Power Point slides
  • Flipcharts and other visuals
  • Participant Guide, including graphics that support the text and engage adult learners
  • Train the Trainer presentation

Contact me to discuss the specifics of how I can customize a learning package to suit your organization's training needs.
