For years, I assumed I would write more often when I had more time. Finally, I realized that it wasn’t about time at all, that I was afraid to write at the same time that I was drawn to it.

So I started exploring what creativity is, how it works, and why it seems so elusive at times. I realized I wasn’t the only one who was both attracted to and yet a little afraid of my own creativity. That tension of both wanting the satisfaction of being creative and being afraid to step into the creative process was the starting point for my first published book, Dancing in the Dragon’s Den.

The things I learned in writing that book continue to shape my writing process as I work on a novel and another non-fiction book. I hope you’ll find Dancing in the Dragon’s Den as useful in expanding your creativity as I have.
